Talking about Religion and Politics…?

How do you talk about religion and politics in your family?[1]Cover image is by Mark König on Unsplash, extra points for those who can guess what it has to do with this post.

A lot of people don’t like to talk about these topics, even with family members, because it leads to arguments and division. I know. I’ve been there.

The broad response is to say DON’T talk about religion and politics with anyone, ever.

But then what happens?

We only talk to people who already agree with us and strengthen the bonds of our bubble.

I want to break the bubble and find a way to talk religion and politics with friends and family.

It won’t always go well.

You can’t please everyone and you can’t be friends with everyone, but there must be a way to talk about tough topics without devolving to a screaming match.

….

How do you do it?

Drop me a letter and let me know.
